This exciting opportunity involves serving as the primary technical expert and customer liaison for data management , business intelligence, and analytics solutions within pharmaceutical organizations.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance. The role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical data ecosystems, proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and the SQL Server BI stack, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with both technical and business stakeholders. \Key responsibilities include serving as the primary technical point of contact for pharmaceutical clients, leading negotiations on project scope and timelines, and providing strategic guidance to various teams within pharmaceutical organizations, such as Sales, Market Access, and Marketing departments. The Technical Lead will be responsible for specifying, designing, building, and supporting data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, including creating dashboards and KPIs to monitor business performance. This role also involves technical solution design and development, including developing complex SQL queries, building ETL/ELT pipelines using various tools, developing Python and R-based data processing and analytics solutions, and optimizing Databricks workflows. The candidate will be expected to conduct comprehensive data analysis to support strategic decision-making and help the broader team identify new features and business opportunities. Furthermore, the role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, knowledge transfer sessions, and the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.\The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or Analytics roles, with a strong emphasis on the pharmaceutical or life sciences domain. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. The candidate must have demonstrated experience supporting commercial Pharmaceutical teams and working with complex pharmaceutical datasets. Strong experience with MS SQL Server, data warehousing concepts, and ETL best practices is essential. Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization, as well as experience with R language and T-SQL scripting, is also required. Experience with Databricks and pharmaceutical commercial data platforms, such as IQVIA, is highly desirable. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and customer service skills are crucial for success in this role. The ability to make decisions, lead technical initiatives, and build strong client relationships is also a key requirement. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team.
