The Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and performance optimisation of the company’s databases, particularly those supporting Alchemy and the murex pilot.
This role ensures data integrity, availability and efficient data flow.Set up and configure the Database for the alchemy pre-production environment. Support provisioning and configuration for the Murex pilot.Design and implement initial data loading and synchronization/replication strategies from existing Alchemy environments to the AWS database.Support data mapping efforts between Alchemy/Company sources and Murex data models.Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.Implement database security best practices .Provide expert level support for database related incidents and problems.Document database architecture, configurations and operational procedures.Proven experience as a database Administrator with expertise in relational databases Strong proficiency in SQL and database scriptingUnderstanding of database performance tuning and optimisation techniquesExperience in a financial services environment is highly desirable
