Former Bafana Bafana captain Siphiwe Tshabalala has called for unity in helping the national team return to glory after missing out on the 2022 World Cup. Read more ➡️

The side narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Qatar 2022 edition after losing to Ghana last year in November. However, Shabba believes it will take a unified effort to bring the national team back to its glory days."There’s an abundance of talent in South Africa but it’s about coming together in the name of the national team and making sure that we bring Bafana Bafana where it belongs.

"There were days where the national team was doing well. We’ve been there before, and we can still go back there." For now Bafana Bafana have their attention on qualifying for the 2023 Afcon. Broos’ side will take on Liberia on matchday two of the qualifiers in March. Meanwhile, the annual Discovery Walter Sisulu Soccer Challenge youth tournament will kick-off at the the start of December.
