In addition, Hawes is banned for life from possessing firearms and was ordered to submit a DNA sample to the national registry.A sentencing date has been set for a North Sydney man who has pleaded guilty to charges that include robbery. The offences occurred Jan. 28, 2022, at a North Sydney gas station. LeBlanc had elected to be tried in Supreme Court on the charges but re-elected at the outset of a scheduled preliminary hearing.
In issuing the stay, the Crown has one year in which to proceed with a prosecution. If no action is taken during that time, the charges are considered dismissed.
