The once-forgotten crew of the ill-fated Halifax bomber NP711 has further been immortalized with the release of a documentary on the discovery of its crash site and the search for crew descendants. | SaltWire
Restoration and remembrance efforts to date have resulted in a memorial service at the crash site on Aug. 6, 2022, and permanent displays and monuments erected there to tell the story of Halifax NP711 and its crew.
“The information display explains the whole story, with pictures of the crew, all in both German and English language,” he said via an email interview from Germany. Robert Wagner is the documentary producer and a descendant of Bill Wagner, who also died in the crash.
