The 10-athletes team claimed six gold, four silver and five bronze medals at the Atlantic Track and Field Championships last weekend in Dartmouth.

At the Atlantic Track and Field Championships held in Dartmouth July 22-24, 10 athletes from Newfoundland and Labrador won medals at the event.In the heptathlon, Shae LeDevehat captured the gold medal after she competed in a total of seven events at the championships. Meanwhile, James Power won gold in the 3000m steeplechase. He also brought home a silver medal in the under-20 1500m event.

Lyla O’Neill picked up a silver medal in the under-16 triple jump, while James Edinger had a silver in the pole vault.
