JOHN'S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador has earned a C+ grade on a liquor policy report card fromThe report grades each province on how industry-friendly their liquor policy landscape is for bars and restaurants.

“The introduction of discounted liquor pricing has provided a much-appreciated lifeline for bars and restaurants in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis,” said Restaurants Canada's Atlantic branch vice-president Richard Alexander in a news release. Other suggestions included introducing a liquor server wage and a drop in liquor licensing costs for establishments with higher sales volume.
