In recent years, The Railyard has been rapidly growing as a mountain and fat biking destination, and the funding will help the Town of Truro continue with its– approved in 2019 – to install upgrades such as a washroom, rest area, signage, bike wash station, parking, trail upgrades, staff training, new park entrance, parking lot, and more.

Although three different and diverse projects, they all have a common thread, said Taylor – supporting a strong, local economy. “The Railyard Park is a really, really impressive program,” said Taylor, to SaltWire. “We really want to encourage outdoor activity and we certainly know, during the pandemic, one place that people felt more safe was actually being outdoors.
