CAPEI—The Construction Association of Prince Edward Island recently hosted the Girls Exploring Trades and Technology camp where students learned how to build popsicle stick bridges. PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND—The Construction Association of Prince Edward Island recently held a Girls Exploring Trades and Technology camp for girls ages 12 to 17.On the first day, they designed, built and tested popsicle stick bridges.
They had a few materials to use for this activity such as marshmallows, spaghetti noodles, sticky tack, tape and popsicle sticks.Other activities included wiring up electrical panels, building toolkits and shelves, painting their creations and creating safe carriers for eggs.
