It has been a busy 2024 for the former Beatle but he is showing no sign of slowing down
Paul McCartney has revealed he is hoping to finish a new album in the new year after a busy 2024 saw him take his 'Got Back' tour around the world. The Walton-born Beatles legend , 82, played gigs in South and Central America and Europe, culminating in two shows at Manchester's Co-op Live and two at The O2 in London.
So, how’s about that? ‘My New Year’s resolution is to finish a new album!’' The former Beatle last released a studio album in 2020 - 'McCartney III' - which topped the charts in the UK, becoming his first solo number one album since 1989. 'McCartney III' was recorded at Sir Paul's home studio in Sussex during the coronavirus pandemic . About that album, he said: 'It was a lot of fun. It was about making music for yourself rather than making music that has to do a job.
