Tynes spent his first two college seasons with Montana State University but transferred to Maine for his third year. He appeared in Montana State's opening round March Madness game last year, scoring two points in nine minutes.
Tynes led the enitre NCAA in steals this season with 95 and also in steals per game with 3.3. His 95 steals were the second-highest in conference history. Tynes was also a third team all-conference member and first team conference all-defensive player. He averaged 14.4 points per game and was second on the team in rebounds and assists . He led the team in minutes with a per-game average of 35.2 and was also first in blocks with 16.Congrats to Kellen Tynes for being named to the America East All-Conference Third Team!
