Nafiz Modack, a suspected underworld figure, denies instructing Zane Kilian to monitor the location of slain police officer Charl Kinnear.
Alleged underworld gang boss , Nafiz Modack, has denied instructing his co-accused, Zane Kilian, to track slain top cop, Charl Kinnear. Kilian, along with Modack and 13 others, is facing 122 charges related to various crimes, including the murder of Kinnear. Kinnear, who was investigating Modack at the time, was shot dead outside his Bishop Lavis home in September 2020.
\Nafiz Modack's co-accused number two, Zane Kilian, is currently in court this week to prove his innocence against the charges he faces. Kilian is accused of using a cellphone tracking application to locate the whereabouts of Kinnear on behalf of Modack. During cross-examination, Modack's lawyer, Bashier Sibda, told the court his client never gave Kilian any instructions to track Kinnear. The State's evidence retrieved from Kilian's cellphone shows he was in contact with various numbers saved under Modack's name via WhatsApp. \The cross-examination is set to continue on Wednesday for Sibda to clarify various payments made to Kilian from a business account allegedly linked to Modack
