This week marks the first of three weeks of strike action over various issues by members of the UCU.
The angry mother of a Menstrie student whose first few weeks at Stirling University have been affected by strike action has blasted management over failing to resolve the dispute.
Rory said: “It’s really disappointing to find your first class, on your first day at university, cancelled without notice or explanation. Angela said: “I am so upset that my son’s first experience at Stirling has so far amounted to cancelled classes and no lecturers in the classroom. “The university is working hard to minimise disruption however, staff are not required to tell us in advance if they are taking action. Our focus is on ensuring our new and returning students whose classes have been affected by the action are offered help and support.”
