He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and police closed part of the road so they could comb the scene.
Emergency services raced to Glasgow Road near the Marbury Junction at around 7.45am on, April 29, after receiving reports of concern for a man close to the Shell garage.
The death is being treated as unexplained but Police Scotland has said there 'do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances'. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Monday, 29 April, 2024 we were called to a report of concern for a man on Glasgow Road, Edinburgh.Top news stories today They added: “The death is being treated as unexplained but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
