Inspector Kirsten Marshall said concerns are growing for the welfare of 51-year-old Alexander MacKay from Lairg in Sutherland.
Scots have been urged to check sheds and outbuildings for a missing man who vanished on Friday night wearing a short-sleeved top despite forecasts of snow.
The 51-year-old was last seen in the Ord Place area of the village around 6.30pm on Friday, 29 March. Inspector Kirsten Marshall said: “Concerns are growing for Alexander’s welfare and we are keen to make sure he is safe and well.Top news stories today She added: “We are also asking people in the area to check their sheds and outbuilding in case he has sought shelter.”
