Man, 27, killed in ‘targeted’ attack
A MAN found dead at a block of flats has been named locally as cops continue to hunt for his killer.Tributes flooded in on social media for the victim, named locally as Jack Trainner.“Can’t believe I’ve got to tell our babies your gone to heaven, just doesn’t feel real - love you always Jack Trainner.Uniformed cops and forensics officers flooded Brookfield Road throughout today, examining the close and surrounding area.
Detective Chief Inspector Ally Semple, Major Investigation Teams said: “At this time, we believe that the attack on the man was targeted.“Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area, checking CCTV and speaking to local residents but we’d still like to hear from anyone with information who has not yet come forward.
“We’d be keen to view any doorbell/private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area and between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, just in case footage has been caught that would identify any suspects.”
