Five community-based projects in Miltonvale Park are receiving federal funding. File.NORTH MILTON, P.E.I. — The federal government is injecting $73,486 into five community projects in Miltonvale Park to help P.E.I. seniors.committee is receiving $12,000 for it's seniors project, which the federal government said in a release will combat seniors' social isolation and expand awareness on various topics facing older adults.

Also, the South Shore Community Organization is getting $7,923 to organize fitness classes for seniors and senior abuse learning sessions. will receive $16,000 to replace the flooring and rear door of the building to allow support for seniors to exercise and participate in art and information classes.Miltonvale Park Mayor Hal Parker said funding from the program helps the municipality offer interesting activities to seniors.

"We have done so many things over the years — bus trips, community plays, exercise programs, painting classes," said Parker.
