The price of gasoline in Prince Edward Island has increased by 4.0 cents per litre , meaning that, including taxes, the cost for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets now ranges from 191.1 to 192.3 cpl. The change, approved by the Prince Edward Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission and effective at 12:01 a.m. on July 29, follows a couple of weeks of declining prices at the pumps.There is no change to the price of both furnace oil and diesel. Including taxes, prices for diesel now range from 203.7 to 204.8 cpl. The maximum price for furnace oil is 154.7 cpl.
Propane prices will decrease by 2.1 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing, by 1.6 cpl for Superior Propane, by 1.0 cpl for Island Petroleum and by 2.4 cpl both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum. Propane prices will range from 97.6 to 98.4 cpl. For current petroleum prices, visit irac.pe.ca. The commission’s next scheduled pricing adjustment is Aug. 5.
