Durham police have arrested a Stratford resident after an alleged road rage incident on Highway 401 in Whitby.Simon MacLeod-Walden, 31, has been charged with assault with a weapon, using an imitation firearm in commission of an offence, uttering threats and mischief .
Police say a driver was going eastbound on the 401 on Saturday, approaching Thickson Road, when he noticed the vehicle behind him getting visibly agitated. At one point, he believed MacLeod-Walden threw an object at his vehicle. He followed MacLeod-Walden off the highway.MacLeod-Walden is accused of approaching the other driver with the fake gun and smashing his vehicle’s side window and mirror.Anyone with new information can call investigators at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3530.
