The relaunch of Operation ReLeaf, in partnership with Tree Canada, offers 75 Charlottetown residents a chance to purchase a single tree for $20, which will be delivered to their home. To be eligible for the program, homeowners must be willing to dig the hole for the tree in an agreed location. If more than 75 applications are sent in before Sept. 1, priority will be given to residents who show that financial barriers would prevent them from planting trees on their property without the program.
Priority will also go to properties in areas with the highest tree canopy loss or a narrow city right of way. Those interested can apply
