Minister of Diversity and Inclusion Ahmed Hussen announced that the Liberal government has begun the hiring process for a Special Representative on Combating Islamophobia, during an advocacy day for the National Council of Canadian Muslims on June 6 in Ottawa.
Representatives of Canada’s Muslim population were on Parliament Hill in June calling on Ottawa to do more to combat Islamophobia during an advocacy event held on the anniversary of the fatal attack against an Ontario Muslim family.Enjoy unlimited website access and the digital newspaper.
