POOLES CORNER, P.E.I. — The Egg Farmers of Prince Edward Island Close to the Ground concert series will feature Billy MacInnis and Leon Gallant on Aug.
Hosts Eddy Quinn, John B Webster, and Keelin Wedge of Fidders’ Sons will welcome the two to the stage of the Kaylee Hall in Pooles Corner, said organizers in a news release.Also known as Stompin’ Tom’s fiddle player, MacInnis spent nine years touring with Canada’s icon until his passing in March 2013.
He has also been playing lead guitar and fiddle with Stony Plain recording artist and Country singer/songwriter Tim Hus from Nelson B.C.He is well known for his performances with the Avonlea Show Band and for hosting his own concert series at The Stanley Bridge Women’s Institute Hall every summer.The Kaylee Hall is located near Montague, at the intersection of Route 3 and 4.
There will also be a 50-50 draw at the show, as well as a canteen service and merchandise available for sale from the performers.
