A brief ridge of high-pressure settles in on Wednesday, but then our next system is en route.

As our latest system departs, a Texas low will bring heavy precipitation and intense winds Thursday in the Maritimes, into Friday for Newfoundland.The train of unsettled weather continues to roll through Atlantic Canada.

The centre of the low is now tracking along the west coast of Newfoundland, with snow in that province changing to 10 to 30 mm of rain, with wind gusts of 40 to 70-plus km/h across most of that province. A brief ridge of high-pressure settles in on Wednesday, but then our next system is en route – the Texas low I told you about last week.
