The Diamonds gaffer says having the chance of silverware is great for the club
Rhys McCabe says Airdrie will go out all guns blazing to win the SPFL Trust Trophy on Sunday – as they chase their first silverware for 16 years.
McCabe says that’s a great position to be in – but that’s all it is so far, and there is a lot of hard work ahead as they hope to end the campaign with promotion and a trophy. “For me, personally, it’s my first gig coming into the job, and to get promoted through the play-offs last season was massive for the club and it has done me wonders.
“I’m not one that’s going to be happy to be eighth, or just staying up by the skin or our teeth – I really want to implement my way, the way we play, and have guys talking for the right reasons.
