Each year, the program helps about 600 families in need have a brighter holiday season. CAPE BRETON POST STAFFSYDNEY, N.S. — The Every Woman's Centre is looking for people ready to help a family in need make Christmas memories.
The non-profit in Sydney is looking for 'adopters' for their Adopt-A-Family campaign to fill the wish list of people in need who have registered for help this year. Each family has a profile and a wish list that adopters can review and then pick from. Along with the present package comes a turkey dinner and all the fixing for Christmas dinner.
