The Casino Nova Scotia has been a fixture in Sydney since 1995 when it opened two months after the launch of the casino’s Halifax operation. CAPE BRETON POST FILE PHOTOSYDNEY — An information picket by workers from Casino Nova Scotia Sydney is expected to greet patrons to tonight’s Cape Breton Eagles hockey game.

The union has not filed any official notice to represent the workers but Dobson explained they are lending a hand to help them out with their attempts to get their jobs back. “They held us in limbo for two whole years, continually reassuring us we’d be back,” according to a handout issued by the workers.
