The Top Employers Institute has announced 316 organizations across 30 African countries as Certified Top Employers in 2025. These organizations were recognized for their outstanding HR strategies and commitment to employee well-being. The certification process involved a rigorous review of HR best practices across six domains, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

On 16 January 2025, 316 organisations in Africa have been officially announced as Certified Top Employers in 2025, spanning across 30 African countries and 25 buinsess sectors. This prestigious recognition acknowledges these organisations’ commitment to fostering outstanding HR strategies in the world of work.

Top Employers Institute certifies organisations based on their HR Best Practices Survey results. In 2025, Top Employers Institute has now certified over 2,400 organisations across 125 countries and regions. These Certified Top Employers positively impact the lives of over 13 million people globally.The Top Employers Institute Certification is a stand-out benchmark for HR excellence. The Certification Programme consists of an HR Best Practices Survey.

The programme requires organisations to undergo a rigorous process that ensures the most exceptional organisations’ commitment to excellence is reflected in the attainment of their globally recognised certification. Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink shared: “Consistency in a not-so-consistent world?
