A new report reveals Sanlam's positive media perception compared to rivals.

A new online media sentiment report by Press Pulse revealed that Sanlam outperformed OUTsurance, Momentum, and Pineapple. Press Pulse, backed by Broad Media, developed an artificial intelligence (AI) sentiment-measuring system for online media reports. The system analyses each brand’s coverage by top-tier media publications, and determines their overall posture.

The ranking is based on the number of positive, neutral, or negative articles published about each brand, and generates an overall sentiment report. More positive articles about a company gives them a better sentiment ranking – and vice versa for negative coverage. This is extremely valuable to companies, as it helps them to determine their overall perception and gain insight into how they can improve. We used Press Pulse to compare the market sentiment of several of South Africa’s biggest insurance brands over November 2024. However, Sanlam crushed its competitors, having enjoyed significant positive press coverage over the last month among top-tier business publications
