Baker’s attorney told Newsweek that the family is seeking both accountability and answers regarding the distressing ordeal. “No family should ever face such a shocking and dangerous experience,” the attorney stated. Baker expressed her fears about what might have happened if her daughter or her friend had unknowingly eaten the drugs. “Adding to her distress, Ms. Baker had to confront an unimaginable situation—explaining the concept of drugs to her innocent 11-year-old child,” the attorney said.
