Affleck said Archer’s golfing career is off to a great start, and it’s encouraging to see he has a great interest in the sport. “It’s being outside, and it’s a sport I can play with my friends and some of my friends are good at it,” said Archer. “If I go out , I would rather play with my friends than play alone.”Archer’s great-grandfather, Harry MacLauchlan, was one of the course’s founders and a driving force behind its construction in 1969. Archer’s father, an avid golfer, came through Stanhope’s junior program.
