I am very surprised that the total cost of the one-time “bonus” offered to entice the privileged strikers back to work has not been highlighted by the press coverage. It totals $300 million. I would invite any Canadian taxpayer, other than the lucky recipients of that largesse, to explain how that could possibly be considered good value for our tax dollars.NOT DOING THEIR PART

Governments at all levels talk about, and declare, climate emergencies. While all this is going on, our PM gets on a private jet to go skiing in Whistler or vacationing in the Caribbean . Thousands of scientists, bureaucrats, etc., travel all over the world to attend climate change conferences hosted by the UN.

This issue will not go away. It is too important as it is a grave danger to our democracy. Do the right thing, Mr. Prime Minister, and hold a public inquiry.
