However, it has not been ignored by Russia and China.
China’s increasing prominence in the region has prompted concerns over its long-term strategic objectives, including possible military deployment. Satellite images also show a huge Russian military buildup in the Arctic and with the brotherly relationship that now exists between Russia and China, rules, regulations and Canadian sovereignty will mean nothing, using Russia as an example in the war with Ukraine.
