As for private clinics, there are already private clinics in Ontario. I know this because my husband “paid” for cataract surgery for one eye at a private clinic lickety-split. His other eye was performed by the same doctor for “free” at the General hospital, but he had to wait months for that appointment. I have to admit I had difficulty wrapping my head around paying the doctor out of pocket because he performed the surgery in his private clinic rather than the hospital.

Anyway, before private clinics start popping up here, there and everywhere in Ontario like cannabis shops or Tim Hortons, the first business of the day is to make sure the Civic, Montfort, General, Queensway Carleton and every other hospital in the province of Ontario have enough nurses.Article content

Finally, and this might be kind of important depending on how nurses answer, there needs to be a survey taken asking nurses: If given the choice, where would you choose to work? 1. private clinic or 2. public hospital.Although private sector workers are outraged, they obviously don’t understand.
