Jeanette Morris had called police hours before to say she had been assaulted
A woman was found dead just hours after telling police that two people had attacked her with a stone.
Jeanette, 54, told police she would go to the hospital, but a taxi she called failed to turn up and she went back home with a friend. Just over eight hours later police visited Jeanette's house in Princess Court to conduct a welfare check and found her dead.READ MORE: Lancashire pensioner left lying on the floor for two days is saved by determined nurse
A final inquest will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 11.30am. The coroner will return a conclusion as to how Jeanette came by her death.
