Beachwood police arrested a nursing facility employee for assault after she struck a fellow female employee in the head with a Thermos.
Published: Aug. 20, 2024, 9:52 p.m. Beachwood Police Department BEACHWOOD , Ohio -- A dispute between two female workers at a nursing facility resulted in one beating the other in the head with a metal thermal container.
At 7:20 a.m. Aug. 16, police were called to Rose Senior Living, 23611 Harvard Road, on a report of a physical altercation involving the two women.Police investigated and learned that the two women had a history of difficulties and on this day, one woman confronted the other about disparaging remarks she had made about her. The woman who had been found walking did not deny making the remarks, which led to the other woman pushing her.
Eventually, the two had to be separated. A supervisor told the woman found walking to leave the building. Before she left, however, the woman used a metal Thermos to hit several times the other woman’s head. The victim of the Thermos attack sustained a cut on the bridge of her nose, a swollen lower lip and scratches on her chest. She did not want medical attention.A witness later told police, however, that the woman who had been hit on the head instigated the fight by first pushing and kicking the charged woman.Read more from the
