A quick-hitting winter storm will continue to spread from out of the South to the mid-Atlantic today with snow, gusty winds:

Now, a second phase of Frida that has already brought snow to parts of the South is heading through the mid-Atlantic as a low-pressure system tracks across the region. The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for parts of the mid-Atlantic region, including the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metro areas.
Snow will continue to spread from the southern and central Appalachians to parts of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, far southeast Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Long Island and far southeastern New England on Monday.Much of the storm should be over with by late Monday or Monday evening as the low-pressure system tracks out to sea.
