South Africa is experiencing a widespread internet outage, impacting thousands of users across the country. Reports from various internet service providers and users have indicated difficulties accessing online services . The outage, which began around 12:30pm, appears to be linked to a major outage affecting Microsoft Azure , Microsoft’s cloud computing platform.
Microsoft 365 posted a notice acknowledging the issue, stating that users in the EMEA region, particularly in South Africa and the United Kingdom, were experiencing difficulties accessing Microsoft 365 services. We’re investigating reports of an issue where some users in the EMEA region are unable to access one or more Microsoft 365 services.
