Vicarage Road in Watford is to be resurfaced next month

The work will take place at night between October 24 and November 2, with a road closure in place on weeknights between 8pm and 5am.West Watford Labour county councillor Nigel Bell says Vicarage Road is in a “terrible state”. He said: “At last, the much-needed and long-awaited resurfacing for the main stretch of Vicarage Road, which is in such a terrible state and I have been lobbying for along with residents, [is happening].”The first phase will be between Hagden Lane and Banbury Street on Monday, October 24, 25, and, 26 as well as on November 1. There will be no vehicle access in Vicarage Road between those junctions between 8pm and 5am and no vehicles will be allowed to be parked during those hours.

The second phase is on October 27, 28 and 31 between Banbury Street and Farraline Road over the same hours. The same parking restrictions will also be in operation.
