There was some Springbok on Springbok action in the United Rugby Championship this past week, with Canan Moodie and Ox Nche squaring off.
Canan Moodie was magnificent in the derby clash between the Bulls and Sharks, and one of his standout moments was bumping fellow Springbok world champion Ox Nche to the turf.The Bulls beat the Springbok-laden Sharks 26-14 at Kings Park in the final round of the regular season and will next face Italian side Benetton in the quarter-finals at Loftus Versfeld.
There were several individual head-to-head clashes to look forward to in this game, being between fellow Springboks and/or Test stars and Moodie has scored 10 tries in 14 appearances for the Bulls in all competitions this season, but the Springbok world champion ruled out with an undisclosed injury for the quarter-final in Pretoria this week.
