'He told me that he was going to kill me' - Jenny Hunter says her husband asked if she was ready to die during a physical attack in August 2017

The PSNI has committed to "relentlessly pursuing perpetrators" of violence against women.

Sarah Mason of Women's Aid said: "This is an historic day for all women and girls in Northern Ireland, finally bringing Northern Ireland into line with the rest of the UK."A domestic abuse survivor from County Down, Jenny Hunter, said that the night she separated from her husband in August 2017 was the first she was physically attacked by him.

Ms Hunter told BBC News NI she remembered her children "squealing" as her husband forced her into their bedroom.
