Vera star Brenda Blethyn hinted she may have enjoyed a sherry or two after wrapping up filming of her final series of Vera.
Today the TV star, 78, revealed she had filmed her final scenes with the popular show. Brenda admitted she'd been left feeling 'tired and emotional' after a long day - often used as a euphemism for someone who's enjoyed a few drinks. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Brenda wrote: "Travelling home after finishing filming of Series 14 of VERA. Tired and emotional."
To which Brenda replied: "I fully intend to. I love the place." Another fan replied: "Think I will have to watch the re-runs forever. I'm too attached to let you go. I hope you feel proud that so many of us feel a connection to you." The upcoming series, scheduled to air early this coming year, marks Brenda's final series after a 13 year run.
