Scots watching at home were left fed up but not surprised as the stdio pivoted to a Gareth Southgate interview quicksmart
ITV has come under attack for snubbing Scotland during the build-up to Germany versus our heroes – which instead focused on England.
Our neighbours don't play until Sunday night, but a pre-recorded interview with boss Gareth Southgate apparently just couldn't wait. The it was into the debate over whether it's now or never for England as tournament favourites. Ian Wright and Roy Keane were asked if England have underachieved in tournaments gone by, then Souness' take on how they should approach things and if they can beat France.
One posted on X: "Turned ITV on and its coverage of England. Is it not Scotland Germany?" Another added: "12 minutes into the Euros coverage if Scotland vs Germany on STV and already the focus is on England and Gareth Southgate. What an absolute joke!!!"
