Halifax Water says the malfunctioning wastewater pump station that released untreated sewer water into Halifax Harbour has been fixed.
Jeff Myrick, a spokesman for Halifax Water, said in an email Thursday morning that they won’t know what caused the failure at the pumps until they are dismantled and inspected.
Halifax Water had asked residents of the affected area including Larry Uteck Boulevard, Washmill Lake Drive and Massachusetts Avenue to conserve water while the pump station was down. Visitors to the Halifax waterfront sit on the steps by the Queen's Marque on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022. - Ryan Taplin
