'Underwear hanging in windows': Parents furious after churchgoers turn school into a 'Holiday Inn'
An unholy row has erupted between parents of pupils attending a state-of-the-art school and a church group, after parishioners allegedly used 20 classrooms as a dormitory over the Easter weekend.
Congregants from Soweto, Katlehong, Daveyton, Vaal, Thembisa, Soweto and Bronkhorstspruit, who are believed to be from the Zion Apostolic Church, camped overnight at Noordgesig Primary School in Soweto for church services, much to the annoyance of parents and community members. A young woman could be seen sleeping on an inflatable mattress in a Grade R classroom in one of the photographs sent to News24. There were two other inflatable mattresses in the room as well as eight suitcases and other personal items belonging to church members.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
