'Parents split' leads to teen's death
Musa Ximba from White City, Soweto, who was a Grade 12 pupil at Tlhatlogang Junior Secondary School, committed suicide by allegedly drinking poison on Sunday, 3 March in a shack he shared with his dad.
"But he died on arrival at the clinic while the doctors were trying to resuscitate him. According to Musa’s dad, his son was lying face down on the bed on the day of the incident. Musa had told his dad he was going to buy cakes in the neighbourhood," he said.Mothlaola said Musa's dad said the teen was non-responsive and he thought he was taking a nap while he was busy with schoolwork.
Musa's classmates said he allegedly told them he wanted to kill himself because of the stress he was going through at home.
