Underfire Mamontha Motuang out of Lesedi FM, new boss takes over temporarily

Last year’s meeting, where Lesedi FM and Motsweding FM business manager - Mamontha Motaung - was heard lashing out at veteran sportscaster Thabo Kofa, landed her in hot water, resulting in her losing her position at Lesedi FM.

This is after she was allegedly found in the wrong on seven charges following an investigation that was done by the public broadcaster’s bosses.According to an email sent to Lesedi FM staff, which City Press has seen, Mandla Mbusi will be the station's interim business manager while the public broadcaster is working on getting a replacement.Dear colleagues, please be advised that Mandla Mbusi: SABC FS/NC ROM has been appointed as the acting: business manager: Lesedi FM.

In September last year, City Press reported that an investigation was launched because the public broadcaster was reportedly concerned about the tone Mamontha used when speaking to the staff members in a recording clip which was circulating at the time.
