All of Scotland, Northern Ireland, most of Wales and northern England will be impacted
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for parts of the UK on Wednesday . .The Met Office's website explained: "There is a chance of a deep low pressure system bringing gusts of 70 to 80 mph to northern parts of the UK on Wednesday. Should this develop disruption would be expected.
There is a small chance of danger to life from flying debris and longer journey times or cancellations on roads and rail, according to the warning. There is also a 'slight chance' power cuts could occur and large waves could put people in danger in coastal areas. Yellow warnings can be issued for a range of weather situations. The Met Office website says that 'many people' may be able to continue with their daily routine, but there will be some that will be directly impacted and so it is important to assess if you could be affected.
On Wednesday, Greater Manchester can expect a very wet day with heavy showers changing to partly cloudy by early evening, as per the Met Office's weather forecast. The downpours will begin in the morning, continuing until around 1pm. The rain will then become lighter and will last for another three hours, eventually clearing up for a partly cloudy night from around 7pm.
