Police say one man “produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle keys.”
Toronto police are searching for three people in connection with two armed carjackings that took place Friday in Scarborough.Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue EastPolice report a 35-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot when three people approached him asking to borrow booster cables.Police said one of the suspects then produced a handgun and demanded the vehicle keys.
“The victim got out of his vehicle and fled the area with his vehicle keys,” police said, adding the suspects were unable to drive the vehicle so they fled on foot.Police report a 27-year-old man stopped his vehicle in a parking lot when a woman got into the front seat. “ a pre-arranged meeting,” police said.“One of the men produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle keys,” police stated, adding that the victim complied and left his vehicle.
The three suspects then fled the area in the victim’s car. The stolen vehicle is a grey 2019 Honda Civic with an Ontario licence plate .
