Police say the two juveniles were taken to a local hospital after being hit just after 7:15 p.m.
The incident took place on the 300 block of 5th Street, near the intersection with Bridge Street, around 7:18 p.m., according to New Cumberland Borough Police. They did not specify whether the kids were in a crosswalk or why the driver did not see them before the crash.
Police did not release the names or ages of the two juveniles, but confirmed that they were taken to a local hospital to be examined. Trick-or-treating in New Cumberland Borough and Lower Allen Township was scheduled for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to local government websites. The extent of the juveniles’ injuries are not known at this time.
