Officials have now identified the man who they were searching for, as well as what lead up to the search that closed parts of I-83 Wednesday morning.City of Harrisburg Director of Communications, Matt Maisel, says the incident started at around 7 a.m., after a man and woman were caught breaking the windows of multiple police cars.
The cars were at the maintenance center on Paxton and 19th St. and while Maisel says the woman was arrested immediately, the man was not. Harrisburg Police identify the man as 23-year-old Yadiel Vazquez, who assaulted an officer at the scene and ran. Maisel reports that Vazquez was later arrested at around 9 a.m. on 18th and Berryhill St. after officers utilized drone and other aircrafts to find him.In total, six police vehicles were damaged by Vazquez and the unidentified woman.Loading ...
